Type of position A MS level Graduate Research Assistantship is available to conduct research on evaluating performance of drought tolerant corn hybrids and weed competition under future climate scenarios. The project will involve field studies, as well as greenhouse and laboratory studies. Research will be conducted under the guidance of Dr. Erin Burns and Dr. Maninder Singh within the Department of Plant, Soil, and Microbial Sciences at Michigan State University (http://www.canr.msu.edu/psm/).

Description of duties

Field, greenhouse and laboratory research on weed management under future climate scenarios. 

Qualifications sought

Preferred qualifications include: B.S. in a plant sciences or biology discipline, experience in field and laboratory settings, the ability to communicate in both writing and orally, and a desire to learn statistical techniques.
