Description of Location | Mississippi State University is physically located adjacent to the city of Starkville, Mississippi in the northeastern section of Mississippi. Description of duties |
The candidate will be involved in screening and identifying mechanism(s) associated with weed suppression in sweet potato. He/she will assist and mentor undergraduate students in the research group and collaborate with other Mississippi State University scientists and colleagues at other institutions. The incumbent will also analyze data, prepare reports to funding agencies, present research results at scientific meetings and prepare papers for publication in refereed journals. He/she will coordinate with graduate students in the maintenance and upkeep of the laboratory facility as well as in procurement of laboratory supplies. |
Qualifications sought |
A M.S. degree in Weed Science, Plant Science, Chemistry or Biology or other closely related field is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong statistical background. |
