Description of duties

In collaboration with professors of the Department of Plant Science, the selected candidate will teach courses in French to undergraduate, graduate and continuing education students, and will supervise M. Sc. and Ph. D. students in the area of weed science. He/She will develop high quality teaching and research programs. He/She will assume a fair share of the collective responsibilities of the department.

Qualifications sought
  1. Hold a Ph.D. in a field related to weed science;
  2. Possess the necessary skills and experience to develop and offer teaching in French to undergraduate and graduate students in weed science in the context of agronomic training (B. Sc. Agronomy; M. Sc. And Ph. D. Plant Biology);
  3. Demonstrate an ability to design and implement an innovative scientific research program in the field of weed science in a context of environmentally sustainable agricultural practices ;
  4. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and a real interest in teaching. Experience in teaching at the university level would be an asset ;
  5. Demonstrate a real interest in the issues and challenges of weed science, in organic and conventional production.
