Since 1991, Eco-Care has worked in partnership with one of the leading European companies in environmentally friendly plant care, Neudorff GmbH KG, and products developed by Eco-Care are currently being sold by Neudorff worldwide. Currently, Eco-Care has scientists and technicians specializing in entomology, chemistry, weed science, malacology and plant physiology. The research focuses on discovering organic gardening solutions and developing these into practical products for consumers. Location Saanichton (Victoria) B.C. Salary Commensurate with experience/education Benefits Full benefit plan (extended health, dental, BC medical); bonus plan Closing date of competition Friday April 4, 2008 Date position available April 15, 2008 Description of duties The successful applicant will be responsible for leading projects in the Weed Science area and will report to the Research Director. The position will involve a variety of tasks including: developing and implementing novel ideas for weed control products; designing and conducting laboratory, greenhouse and field bioassays; plant propagation and field plot maintenance; data compilation and analysis; preparation of written reports and oral presentation of results in meetings; supervision. This position will be supported by on-staff chemists and by a weed science technician.
