| Description of duties |
The successful applicant will be responsible for leading projects in the Weed Science area and will report to the Research Director. The position will involve a variety of tasks including: developing and implementing novel ideas for weed control products; designing and conducting laboratory, greenhouse and field bioassays; plant propagation and field plot maintenance; data compilation and analysis; preparation of written reports and oral presentation of results in meetings; supervision. This position will be supported by on-staff chemists and by a weed science technician.

| Qualifications sought |
Education: PhD or MSc or equivalent in a pertinent field Knowledge
Skills and Abilities:
- Expertise in weed science, horticulture and/or agronomy is preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and supervisory skills
- Computer skills and some background in chemistry and statistical analysis
- Excellent organizational skills
- Some background in plant pathology would also be beneficial
