We seek a highly motivated, experienced individual to assist in developing and implementing field trials at CA Biotech Station located in Davis CA. The candidate will oversee production of plant and seeds for biotechnology research in a greenhouse environment and manage planting, pollinating, tracking, and harvesting agronomic crops. In this role the candidate will contribute to site operations including pesticide applications, programming environmental controls, mixing soil, regulated waste disposal and material handling. Additionally, the candidate will support technical goals of Calgene Davis Project Teams including data collection, data updates, and frequent communication. Qualifications sought The successful candidate will possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent in a plant related field such as Horticulture, Botany, or Agronomy along with experience working with plants in greenhouse, nursery, or landscaping industry. Additionally, experience working with plant and seed inventory databases and excellent communication skills are required.
