Date position available May, 2008 Description of duties We are seeking highly motivated students to fill two Graduate Research Assistantships available in the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Wyoming. Specific areas of research available to the student include either 1) weed management in glyphosate-resistant sugarbeet, or 2) a novel method for studying weed seed dormancy and longevity. The student will conduct laboratory, greenhouse, and field research, and present the results of this research at professional society and grower meetings in addition to presentation in the thesis/dissertation. Qualifications sought B.S. or M.S. degree in Weed Science, Agronomy, or Agroecology. Well-developed written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
