| Description of duties |
The department of Plant Pathology is seeking an individual to manage field projects and greenhouse projects related to field crop plant pathology, including planning, designing, executing and modifying, and reporting research results in the crop pathology program and co-authoring resulting research publications. Bachelor's degree in plant science or a related field plus two years relevant research project experience required. Must have knowledge of and experience with operating and maintaining farm equipment and excellent organizational skills. An understanding of applied field, greenhouse, and lab research, data collection and analysis, and manipulation essential. Moderate knowledge of computer software for collecting and summarizing research data required. Pesticide applicators license required or must be obtained within six months of employment. Ability to conduct statistical analysis is preferred. Knowledge of SAS software preferred. Pre-placement driving record review required.
