What\’s the Opportunity?
* The Shopper Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing shopper marketing programs, in concert with Scott\’s Miracle-Gro (SMG) and Lowe\’s marketing teams, to optimize engagement of Lawn and Garden shoppers at Lowe\’s while providing a platform for strategic selling. To be successful, the Shopper Marketing Manager must strive to develop and maintain strong working relationships across the large and diverse Lowe\’s Marketing and Customer Experience organizations.

Key Work Performed:
Shopper Marketing Program Development and Execution
* Lead shopper marketing program development at Lowe\’s.
* Assure that retail marketing initiatives are integrated with SMG strategies and consumer insights while fully leveraging retailer strategies and investments.
* Work with Business Development Team (BDT) to leverage marketing programs for strategic selling opportunities.
* Communicate / sell strategies internally and to Lowe\’s.
* Manage retailer specific marketing needs including: promotion strategy integration, creative development, in-store POP and display execution, retailer .com and digital media and content needs.
* Build and manage a strong network of influence within Lowe\’s marketing functions, including L&G category marketing, shopper insights, CRM, media, digital, social media, store environment and others.
* Manage variable trade funded marketing investments to align with BDT strategies and to maximize ROI, working with business development team.

Other Responsibilities:
* Partner with Business development team and cross functional resources (brand teams, agencies, creative development teams etc). Become a trusted member of the BDT leadership team.
* Leverage overall SMG marketing capabilities with Lowe\’s.
* Skills and Abilities:
* Ability to develop strong working relationships with customer teams and sell ideas.
* Must be a thought leader with the ability to influence cross-functional teams that are remote.
* Aggressive, assertive, and results-driven.
* Ability to effectively present to executive-level audiences, internally and at Lowe\’s.
* \”Big Picture\” strategic thinker with the ability to lead SMG in the rapidly evolving retail environment.

Experience:
* Requires 5+ years experience in related consumer marketing fields.
* MBA not required, but preferred.
* Experience with Lowe\’s shopper marketing functions preferred but not required.

Location:
* This position is based at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company office in Mooresville, NC. The manager will report to the Vice President of Business Execution located in Marysville, OH.
