Description of duties

Research will involve defining how climate, soil, and management practices influence cover crop performance and the subsequent impact on weed suppression and crop yield by integrating technology, remote sensing, and machine learning. There will be opportunities to collaborate with colleagues on multi-state projects. It is expected that annual reports will be written summarizing research findings and presentations given at scientific meetings.  

Qualifications sought
  • MS degree in weed science, agronomy, or closely realted field
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing and speaking

Research will involve evluating long-term impacts of integrated weed management tactics, both chemical and nonchemical (harvest weed seed control, cover crops), on weed communities in various cropping systems. There will be opportunities to collaborate with colleagues on multi-state projects. It is expected that annual reports will be written summarizing research findings and presentations given at scientific meetings.
