Type of position Program Coordinator to effectively manage our series of three programs in residue work, training and education.
Employer Minor Use Foundation, Inc
Description of Employer The Minor Use Foundation, Inc. (MUF) is a non-profit private foundation founded in 2018 to promote minor uses and specialty crop pest management solutions for growers globally. We work to break down agricultural trade barriers resulting from misaligned residue tolerances.
The Foundation is seeking a Program Coordinator to effectively manage our series of three programs in residue work, training and education.
The Foundation’s Work
The quality and quantity of crop yields have the ability to significantly impact a nation’s health, economy, and environment. While there are many factors that contribute to an effective and responsible agricultural industry, an important one is pest management. MUF provides funding to organizations that conduct scientific research on agriculture and pest control. MUF strengthens capacity of global partners and facilitates priority setting and conducts research to develop pest management tools for their specific needs.
MUF distributes funds to nonprofit and exempt qualifying organizations as needs are identified and assessed, and as funding allows. The recipient organizations contribute to establishing the standards for allowable pesticide residues for the research conducted. By providing financial support and capacity training, MUF ensures that qualifying organizations have the knowledge necessary to conduct agricultural and pesticide studies for the benefit of society.
