| Description of duties |
The Penn State Weed Science Lab (https://sites.psu.edu/weedscience/) is seeking a motivated Ph.D. student to participated in USDA-funded projects focusing on cover crop-based IWM in field crops. The student should have a strong background in Weed Science and/or Agroecology. Previous experience or interest in population-level modeling is preferred. The student will participate in on-going field experiments and will be provided the opportunity to design complimentary field- and/or greenhouse experiments. Opportunities for participation in extension-outreach events as well as undergraduate teaching experience (T.A.) are available. |
| Qualifications sought |
Successful applicants will have: 1) a M.Sc. degree or B.Sc. degree with a strong research record in a related field (Agronomy, Agroecology, Weed Science, Ecology); and 2) strong written and oral communication skills. |
