The WSSA composite list of weeds includes 3756 plants (2847 unique species and 909 synonymic names) compiled by the Standardized Plant Names subcommittee.

Weed Images is a joint project of the University of Georgia’s Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health and the Weed Science Society of America.

Weeds result in 20 to 70% yield losses for major crops in the United States and Canda. Economic losses were estimated by WSSA members during 2015 to 2022.
