Description of Duties

The position is for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Weed Science with formulation chemistry background. Knowledge and/or experience in precision weed technology would be plus point. The formulation scientist will involve in Research & Development to formulate the novel concept of organic herbicide developed in the lab. The fellow will contribute expert insight into the art and science of formulation chemistry.

The qualified candidates should have received a doctoral degree in Weed Science, or Agricultural Science/Agricultural Chemistry, formulation chemistry, or Related field before the starting date. Experience and skills: • Optimum experience in data analysis using the statistical software. • A sound knowledge and research experience in weed science/Herbicide technology. • Experience in field work. • Experience in writing journal articles in English. • Good communication skills. • Experience in working in a team environment. • Knowledge of herbicide chemistry would be a plus.

Postdoc Research Fellow Requirement: Agrochemicals, especially new herbicide formulation development. Griffing’s lab (Texas A&M University, Biology Department) is seeking a Postdoc Research Fellow to join our herbicide development and formulation research project/program. The postdoc fellow will coordinate and work closely with other team members with a focus on herbicide formulation technology. The postdoc fellow is expected to execute the lab, greenhouse and field experiments which will include testing/managing and reporting of data.
