Description of Duties
The Departments of Extension Plant Sciences and Entomology, Plant Pathology, and Weed Science at New Mexico State University is seeking to fill an Extension Specialist/ Urban, Small Farms IPM. (75% Extension/25% Research). The position will be located at the ACES Agricultural Science Center located in Los Lunas, NM with state-wide responsibilities. This is a tenure track, 12-month position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a progressive Extension education program in integrated pest management in urban and small-farm production systems, including agricultural/horticultural crops, home gardens, turf, and other landscape areas.

Ph.D. (in hand by hire date) in entomology, plant pathology, weed science or related field, with emphasis on and/or experience in integrated pest management. Knowledge of and experience with a wide range of small farm cropping systems and with urban landscapes is desirable.
