The Department of Plant Science comprises 21 professors studying various fields related to crop production and plant science. They contribute to the training of more than 400 undergraduate agronomy students and supervise about 75 graduate students enrolled in the Plant Biology graduate program. Description of duties |
In collaboration with professors of the Department of Plant Science, the selected candidate will teach courses in French* to undergraduate students in agronomy, and graduate students in plant biology and will supervise M. Sc. and Ph. D. students in the area of field crop production systems. The candidate will develop high quality teaching and research programs and will assume a fair share of the collective responsibilities of the department. *In order to facilitate the integration of new non-French speaking professors, the VRRHF offers French classes to new professors and their spouse. In general, the Department will give new professors a period of at least 12 months to acquire French fluency before the start of teaching duties. |
