headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, with regional operations in Sheridan, Wyoming; Stanley,
North Dakota; and Rawlins, Wyoming and remote operations throughout the Rocky Mountains
and Northern Great Plains.

Description of duties

We are currently seeking to hire multiple Reclamation Field Technicians to assist with reclamation activities in our Wyoming operations based in Rawlins, Wy. We offer competitive pay (starting $18 to $20/hour depending on experience) with overtime potential. Lodging and a meal allowance are provided. Positions are full time and seasonal, form April through November 2023. Additional positions are open for current students beginning in mid-May until mid-August. Employment beyond these dates is possible depending on project needs.

Project and duties include:

  • Manage weeds using truck, ATV/UTV, or backpack mounted herbicide spray equipment
  • Conduct environmental compliance monitoring including vegetation monitoring and stormwater inspections
  • Observe and record rangeland health conditions
  • Identify soil erosion features and plants using a key
  • Summarize field data
  • Navigate using digital maps
  • Map new and existing features using ArcGIS Collector on tablet computers
  • Assist with site specific reclamation plans
  • Install erosion control best management practices
  • Re-vegetate disturbed areas by seeding
  • Install and maintain snow fences and fencing/grazing enclosures
Qualifications sought

Applicants must have:

  • A clean driving record
  • Ability to travel regularly to project locations
  • Ability to participate in pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to life 50 pounds
  • Be 21 years of age or older
