Description of duties |
The Weed Science program at WSU-IAREC in Prosser, WA, is seeking a motivated student with interest in Applied Weed Science for a Master’s student graduate assistantship. The candidate will conduct field, greenhouse and lab experiments with focus on integrated weed management in vegetable and specialty crops in Columbia Basin region of Washington State. The candidate will also organize and assist in field operations, participate in extension education programs, prepare research reports & peer-reviewed publications, as well as present scientific findings at regional and national meetings, etc. |
Qualifications sought |
The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record in plant science, agronomy, or a related field. Strong written and oral communication skills and previous field and greenhouse experiences are preferred. |
