Type of position The Department of Agronomy is seeking a postdoctoral research associate with the following job duties: (1) Research and scholarship (75%) investigate weed control cropping systems, such topics include but are not limited to, the control of herbicide-tolerant weeds, weed-crop interactions, and weed control in cover crop systems (2) teaching (25%) teach two weed science courses (5 credits over the academic year). AGRON 217: Weed Identification (1cr), fall and spring semester, and AGRON 317: Principles of Weed Science (3 cr), fall semester. Opportunities to complete manuscripts from dissertation research will also be available.

Description of duties

Qualifications sought

Required qualification is a PhD.

Perferred qualifications are 1) PhD in Weed Science, agronomy, crop production or plant science

2)experience in conducting field experiments in cropping systems and 3) experience in teaching weed science, agronomy or plant science
