Description of duties

This position will contribute to the development of integrated weed management in perennial horticultural crops in Oregon with emphasis on non-chemical weed control. Field studies involving integrated weed management approaches in conventional and organic production systems in Oregon will be conducted. The incumbent will work collaboratively with other faculty across the state and participate in team-directed research efforts across integrated areas of emphasis that include weed management practices.

Qualifications sought
Ph.D. in weed science, agronomy, or horticulture.
Experience managing field-based pest management research projects.
Must have or be able to obtain an Oregon Pesticide Applicator license within six months of the start date and maintain it throughout employment.
Demonstrated communication, writing, and quantitative skills.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
Previous publication record in peer-reviewed, international journals.
