Description of duties

Applicants will be expected to participate in a range of field and laboratory experiments. Willingness to work outside and strong field skills are required. Ability to operate and/or willingness to learn to operate farm machinery a must. Students will be expected to work as an integral part of a team, and contribute to both their work and other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications sought

This position requires the acquisition of a GA pesticide license and will require a successful applicant to obtain a GA driver’s license, a means of transportation, and the ability to pass a background check if selected. Applicants with a strong desire and focus on applied aspects of weed science will be considered. Previous weed science experience is desired but not required. A strong background in agronomy, weed science, and/or other related fields is desirable.
