Description of duties |
-Assists with the design, planning, and coordination of various research projects in wet laboratory, greenhouse, and field conditions on topics such as herbicide resistance screening, molecular mechanisms, herbicide resistance trait discovery, diversity analysis, plant compound analysis, etc. -Manages and coordinates various research projects as needed. -Selects and applies standard techniques of routine research and maintains detailed records of data. -Uses field, lab, or technical equipment to collect data, organize data sets, and prepare reports. -Evaluates and summarizes results. -Assists in maintaining financial accounts and other clerical tasks related to research projects. -Assists undergraduate and/or graduate students and other laboratory, technical or field staff involved in research with various day to day activities. -Installs, operates, maintains, and/or repairs research equipment. -Assists with reports, invoices, and cataloging records. -Assists in ordering supplies for office and research use. -Maintains and updates inventories. -Performs other related duties as assigned. |
Qualifications sought |
The candidate must hold or be soon completing an MS degree in Weed Science, Plant Science, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with considerable experience past their MS degree or to those who hold a PhD. Only the shortlisted candidates may be contacted.
