Description of Duties
The successful candidate will conduct herbicide resistance surveys, weed ecology and management research, work with stakeholders, mentor students, and help manage extramural funded research projects. Writing research and outreach articles and publishing in peer-reviewed journals and Extension bulletins are expected. The candidate will contribute to securing extramural grant support for the program.
Ph.D. degree in weed science, crop science, agronomy, or plant scienceExperience with professional writing and presentations.Valid US Driver’s LicenseHold or be able to obtain an Idaho Pesticide Applicator’s License within 6 months of hireExperience conducting herbicide resistance surveying and screeningExperience with small plot field research, experimental design, data collection and analysisProficiency in using R or similar analytical statistics softwareProficiency in using ARM trial management software
