Description of Duties

1. Collecting multi sensor data.
2. Processing and analyzing spectral and image datasets.
3. Developing machine-learning and deep-learning models.
4. Conducting greenhouse and field experiments.
5. Integrating imaging, agronomic, and weed-science data.
6. Developing approaches for site-specific management.
7. Presenting results at scientific conferences and publishing peer-reviewed research.
8. Develop UAV/UGV based data collection platforms.

1. B.S. or M.S. degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Weed Science, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field.
2. Strong interest in precision agriculture, weed science, hyperspectral imaging, computer vision, or artificial intelligence.
3. Experience with Python, MATLAB, R, machine learning, image processing, spectroscopy, and conducting field research.
4. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an interdisciplinary research team.
5. Strong written and oral communication skills.
6. Valid U.S. driver’s license or ability to obtain one after arrival.
